Poem: Outside In

A fiber optic lifeline
Instantaneous communication.
Satellite internet
From a missionary’s laptop
On the red Kenyan dirt
To a flat in Chicago
A taste of the world beyond
But no way out.

I love this one. It talks of the technology advancements the missionary has that those he/she aids arent privy to. If I am not mistaken, the missionary can reach to the outer world, whereas those he aids have no way out financially or in technology. Am I right?
